Stuck in the Injury Loop?

I've been there. For years I was constantly injured. Retraining my posture and movement is what finally kept me healthy and took me to a top 10 finish at the Olympics.

Rest can calm an injury down. But if the way you move doesn't change, it comes back. I identify the movement patterns causing the problem and help you retrain your body to move better, so you can train hard and stay healthy.

Grace — Big Ten Softball

Returned from a season-ending injury to finish with the 2nd most stolen bases in the Big Ten — without being tagged out once.

Kevin — Active Adult, Age 70

Went from barely being able to walk to playing basketball once a week. Movement quality has no age limit.

Sports Performance Training

Speed, strength, and technique, built around how you move. Every program combines what your sport demands with what your body needs.

Speed Training

Acceleration, top-end speed, and change of direction for football, soccer, softball, baseball, and track athletes. Sprint mechanics coached by an Olympic decathlete.

Strength Training

Strength and power training built for athletes. The focus is producing force, staying durable, and carrying that strength onto the field and track, not just lifting numbers.

Track & Field Coaching

Event-specific technical coaching for sprints, jumps, throws, distance, and multi-events, from a coach who competed in all ten decathlon events at the Olympic level.

Movement & Mechanics

Biomechanics-based assessment and corrective work to move better, reduce injury risk, and stay athletic for life. For athletes and active adults.

Programming & Coaching

For athletes who want a full plan, not just sessions. Every program is built around your sport, schedule, and season.

Depending on your situation, this may include
  • Custom programming with video demos for every exercise
  • In-person or live video technical sessions
  • Video review with on-screen feedback
  • Daily corrective work to reinforce sessions
  • Direct support between sessions

Already have a coach or program? Technical coaching fits alongside it.

D1 Athletes Across Sports
Steven Bastien, Olympic decathlete and sports performance coach in Ann Arbor and Saline, Michigan

Built by an Athlete
Who Competed at the Highest Level

Steven Bastien represented the United States as a decathlete at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. That experience competing across ten events at the highest level — sprints, jumps, throws, and distance — informs every program, every cue, and every coaching decision.

But for years, Steven was constantly injured. Retraining his posture and movement is what finally kept him healthy and took his performance to the Olympic level. It's the same process he now uses with every athlete and adult he coaches.

His coaching is grounded in biomechanics and built around how you actually move — not a one-size-fits-all template. Designed to keep you performing at your best for the long haul.

Based in the Ann Arbor and Saline area, Steven provides in-person track and field coaching, speed training, and strength training for athletes across Washtenaw County, online coaching for athletes anywhere, and movement coaching for active adults.
